I recommend Complete Softmod Guide for Wii resources.
For specific details regarding uloader visit the official wiki page (needs to be translated from Spanish, The google chrome web browser offers superb translation tools built in.)
I did everything, but my wii says that bootmii can only be installed as an ISO file should I download that after the homebrew & the dvdx files. I am not sure, your notes are great, but I am not sure, because you say to install it as boot2. But mine won’t give me that, it just says as an IOS file.
If you can’t install to boot2, then yes, install it to IOS instead.
Can you make a tutorial on how to use Wiird cheat codes? I think a lot of people would like to know
This is in the pipeline. Will probably be after Christmas now.
Uhm…
when i try to launch my dvd with Uloader i get the DVD Error -1, i dont know what to do about it, plz help me out.
There is no fix for this yet, If you wii was purchased in the 2nd half of this year then it won’t read blank discs at all. You will have to go down the USB hard drive route.
Thank you, I wil try this tomorrow, i let u know if it works or not
Hi, im back again with 1 more question, i downloaded the game CSI Deadly Intent to try if it works with USB. i can start the game, i press new game and than the first chapter, but wen i click the first chapter, the WII fall out and reboots, i dont have an error, is it the game or did i do something wrong?
Remco
Looks like the game can’t run at the moment!!! Always check the matrix first: http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/index.php?title=USB_Loader_v1.x_Game_Compatibility#C
And another thing, Can u please tell me what PAL means, it stands behind alot of downloads.(of wii games)
It’s just the region term for European and Australian Wii’s
THANKS man, I got a game running now.
but i am still wondering when i download a game like super mario bros(your link with bitcomet). when i unpack that it says 4.37GB but when i put it on USB it is only like 345MB, is this right or not?
Remco
It’s right. the great thing about USB loading is that it only uses the actual game data. Wii disc check for a certain amount of data on the disc. So bascially only the amount of data the game actually uses will be used up on your USB drive. Cool.
And my final question (sorry): how can i stop my wii from updating to a higer version than 4.2?
Ensure wii connect 24 is turned off, and if you are going to continue to use retail discs it will always ask you first. Just ensure you check no!
Uhm, where excactly caani find the connect 24?
Thanks
Remco
It’s in Wii system settings.
Thanks mate, I will stop asking now.
BTW u got some GREAT tutorials!
