7 Responses to HOWTO: Extracting WAD files from a pre-existing NAND dump
This is a fantastic programme, and ive had it working and able for a week or so now. The Rev 17 release has made this a must have, and it makes me feel good knowing im not installing and uninstalling to my nand in the wii all the time.
Just one question, im having some difficulty with Injects with triiforce, is this a known issue? Ive tried many and have always got the same result – Not working.
I’ve had the same problem, and i’ve found decrypting a nand dump from bootmii is working a lot better. I will be updating the above guide, possibly today, with how to use a nand backup from bootmii instead.
This sounds awesome and as always good job with what looks like a really thorough tutorial. I was just wondering have you played or do you know if it is safe to play any of these virtual console games online?
You should be able to export the save game as a wad, the install the wad to your real nand, and then use uloader to extract it back to the fake nand, bit long winded.

I haven’t dabbled with online that much, but I wouldn’t see why not.
This method runs off the SD card, right? e.g., if you remove the SD card, the method won’t work.
Whaty about the savegames stored in the old NAND (triiforce), can they be transported also to uLoader ?
